The completely unfiltered diary of a 23-year-old (week 23)
These weeks keep flying by. We’re even closer to the end of the year now.
*Cue more completely non-value adding facts*
Tried to make lemon bars with less sugar and it ended up tasting a lot like egg yolks. Which makes sense, because it’s basically eggs and lemon.
Somehow the taste improved the next day though, and you couldn’t taste the yolk anymore. Maybe it was just poorly mixed.
Mood is pretty good today. Went out with some friends, and then the text chat blew up for a bit, which was fun. Yeah, I definitely am just lacking social interaction.
Because hell, I was a happy kid in school because you had friends by your side all day, and the chats were forever blowing up. And now I’m all vaguely depressed and stuff and it’s definitely because of the lack of interaction.
But anyway, it was good to meet friends. One friend brought a plus one, and damn. People are really moving on with their lives. They got a freaking house.
On a side note, it seems Gia’s been in a good mood recently too, and that’s pretty flipping awesome. Because I remember how down she was at the start of the year.
Also, Lyza started talking again (well, texting) after a few days of silence — which, for context, is uncharacteristic of her. Not sure if she’s pissed at me or if she’s just generally overwhelmed by life. I hope it’s not the former. Though even if it was the latter, I’d wish she’d tell me so I could support her.
Lol. As if I’m a good supporter.
But still.
She’s definitely wayy more sensitive than I am (then again I’m pretty damn insensitive. Working on it), and she’s gotten kicked from her job. Well, to be fair, it’s more of the company shutting down. But she managed to find a new one really quick.
Will have to catch up with her properly over the weekend. And figure out if she’s mad at me or mad at the world.
Ahhh. I love my friends. But I gotta stop having so many introvert friends LOL. Ok no, more of I just need to have more friends since I’m such a clingy attention-craving child.
Also, hoping to be able to meet colleagues more often maybe next year. They really really seem like cool people. Ok, maybe not cool. In fact, almost definitely not cool (ok giving them the benefit of the doubt — maybe they were cool when they were younger. Totally possible). But they really seem like good people. And I flipping love good people.
xo,
Amber
