The completely unfiltered diary of a 23-year-old (week 26)
I spent an entire evening without snacking. It’s a miracle. The trick was that I was completely engrossed in card-making.
Surprise surprise — mindless snacking can be avoided by getting caught up in non-mindless activities.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve made a handmade card. I’m not an artist by any means, which is why it takes literally hours for me to make something that any averagely artistic person could probably do in less than an hour. But hey, it’s fun. Plus, I don’t know about you but I freaking love receiving handmade stuff that has clearly taken a lot of effort.
It’s the holidays and I really got to finish this gig that’s due on New Year’s Eve. It’s cool though, since I’m off from work, there’s plenty of time for this side gig.

I retract my statement. I should have had plenty of time but, surprise surprise, I procrastinated.
Time to grind this out before finally wrapping up 2020 for real.

Gig has been completed and delivered on time!
Met some old classmates today — it was pretty nice. Maybe I just especially like meeting new people, because there’s lots to talk about, in a way. Technically these people weren’t “new”, but we hadn’t talked in quite a few years so yeah. It was nice.
I complimented one of the guys on his piercing, and he seemed genuinely happy. Well, it genuinely looked good, so guess it’s a win-win. :’)
The quest for making more extroverted friends continues! Not because my current introvert friends are not good, but because I’m gonna end up clingy as hell, just from the nature of our personalities. If I’m someone who needs to hang out with people, and they’re ok with meeting someone for like an hour once a month, then naturally I’m gonna seem clingy as hell if I keep dragging them out.
Ah. So much over-analysis and self doubt.
I hope 24-year-old me looks back at this is and thinks, what the hell was wrong with this girl. She gotta chill out and just be confident inherself.
New year’s coming!
